If you are looking for a career as a Pastry Chef, be assured that it is not as hard as you think. Following are the five steps to becoming a Pastry Chef.
1. Best Place to start at is a part time job at a local bakery to get the feel of your future job role. As a baker you will be spending long hours in the kitchen and having first-hand experience with the job helps in becoming a successful chef.
2. Find some popular cooking books and biographies of famous pastry chefs and read them in your spare time. Reading and watching cooking shows will help you understand the process.
3. Test everything you read. Your kitchen at home is your lab to try practically and enhance your skill in making the delicious pastries.
4. Research for cutlery schools around your area and enroll to them. If you can find a class that specializes in pastry art you might want to jump in and take a chance.
5. Invite your friends and family for week end parties and serve them your desserts. Your loved ones’ feedback provides great boost to master the art.
Besides following the above steps, you must have the passion and imagination to create visually appealing desserts.

This great looking grill offers plenty of room to cook for an average family, or a small gathering of friends. The grill heats up exceptionally fast, and can reach up to 500 degrees very quickly, so you have almost instant cooking as soon as it is turned on. There are multiple surfaces on which to cook and sear your food, and the folding grill stand makes it a very practical piece of equipment for family use.
With lots of extra’s, such as the swinging stainless steel trays, and the grill attachment for cooking smaller items of food, it is the perfect use-every-day portable grill, either at home in the yard, or on vacation and trips.
One of the focal points of a wedding is the dessert. While a luscious wedding cake placed atop a modern cake stand will draw a lot of attention, maybe this isn’t your style. If you are looking for an alternative dessert option or if you want to have other desserts besides cake there are plenty of other options. An ice cream sundae bar is a great option for a casual wedding or a wedding where there will be lots of children. Provide a couple of ice cream options (consider a non-dairy coconut option for those with dairy allergies). The number and variety of toppings is completely up to you. You can keep it simple with chocolate syrup, strawberries and nuts or you can add any number of other options including M&Ms, candied pecans or wedding colored sprinkles. A chocolate fountain can be an elegant, but fun choice. Use things like fresh fruits, shortbread and cookies for dipping. Be sure to have long enough sticks so people can easily use the fountain without messing up their dressy clothing. Sometimes a simple table of fancy cookies and chocolates is all you need. This can provide an elegant and tasty way to satisfy your guests sweet tooth.
